Edgar’s Field is a public park near the Old Dee Bridge.
Originally the location of a Roman quarry, it has two large Triassic sandstone outcrops displaying significant geological features and is designated as a Regionally Important Geodiversity Site (RIGS).
The outcrop towards the centre of the park holds a Roman shrine to the goddess Minerva, the only in-situ monument of its kind in Western Europe.
There are two entrances into the park with the entrance from the Old Dee Bridge suitable for wheelchair users.
